The Guitar Collection: Double-Neck '05 Edition

Amazon.com Review

For the first time ever, the world's most elite guitars are presented together in this collector’s limited edition. Years in the making, and featuring high-definition, state-of-the-art original digital photography throughout, The Guitar Collection is part music documentary and part photographic odyssey.

Because of the size and volume of pages, the leather-bound Guitar Collection had to be printed by one of the few companies in the world capable of making a book this size. The sleek custom-made leather case that houses this epic book is secured with satin nickel latches, while its interior is lined with luxury fabric. Also housed within the case is a richly produced companion book, The Guitar Collection: Stories, a certificate of authenticity, and one of three museum-quality prints signed by photographer John Peden.

The Guitar Collection is a limited edition. Only 1,500 hand-numbered English-language copies of this edition will be available.

Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons, and Keith Richards are but a few of the guitar legends who agreed to have their guitars included in this high-end limited edition book. The collection also features guitars from heralded institutions including Experience Music Project, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Hard Rock International, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. To capture each guitar “on location,” a group of three preeminent photographers traveled to over 40 locations in North America and the UK.

The Double-neck ’05 Edition contains signed John Peden print of the PRS Double-neck Dragon, 2005, a double-neck (12-string) electric guitar inlaid with a fighting dragon design.

Includes The Guitar Collection book, companion book Stories, custom-made guitar case, certificate of authenticity, and signed museum-quality print.

Just the Greatest Guitarist of them all ,we don't need 45 (or how many) Les Pauls,Les Pauls guitars
themselves were a lot more interesting, the whole beg of the book is fantastic

5.0 out of 5 stars The definitive guitar book, full stop, September 18, 2011
There really is no need for any further guitar books ever, after this one. It is the defining superlative
    in the most important categories:
    1. It is the biggest, heaviest guitar book that exists, with the best production values.
    2. It comes in its own Stratocaster case--try equaling that!
    3. It has the best photographers, and the best pictures, with the best printing
    4. Most importantly, it has the 150 most important guitars in history, with the best, most peer-reviewed research.

So, with all that, why ever do another guitar book if you have this one? Other writers can just put down their pens.

Bravo, Walter--you have scaled all 14 8000er's, without oxygen. (not solo, however!)
